Lux-Case

Lux-Case.co.uk is a Swedish company that offers a variety of smartphone and tablet covers. They have a multistore working for several European countries: Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Germany, Netherlands etc. They offer more than 25’000 accessories for smartphones and tablets and try to offer a perfect accessory for all new devices that are launched for public.

The client wanted a clean start on a new server. First we copied the site on a new server (in the meantime the Live store was working). On the new server we cleaned a big amount of unnecessary data, removed store views and extensions that were no longer necessary, upgraded Magento to the version 1.9.2.3. Then we updated extensions and fixed the ones that were necessary but didn’t update correctly. The we configured sphinx according to client requirements and after a thorough testing, we applied a Database from live to the new server and finally swotched the store from old to new server.

The client got what he wanted: a clean start on a new server without old problems that were there. Now the site works smoothly, so we made sure client’s business is running without the site causing troubles.
